MAJOR FLOODS on MAY 2011

Floods in the Mississippi River, the United States

Early this month, record flood rolling down the Mississippi river spilled out across huge areas in the South and Midwest of the United States, creating massive flooding.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers decided to activate a old plan to prevent a catastrophic levee breach. A large section of a Mississippi River levee has been exploded in the Birds Point levee.

*Total number of victims and damage are under investigation.
